402.01 (1) In this Subpart, proficiency check means an assessment of the operational knowledge, skill and judgement of the holder of, or an applicant for, an air traffic control licence or rating, with respect to the provision of the requisite air traffic services relating to that licence or rating at an operational location. (2) Any reference in this Subpart to the personnel licensing standards is a reference to the Personnel Licensing and Training Standards respecting Air Traffic Controller Licences and Ratings .
