604.103 When a private operator delays a flight crew member’s reporting time by more than three hours, the flight crew member’s flight duty period is considered to start three hours after the original reporting time if the private operator notifies the flight crew member of the delay (a) within 12 hours before the original reporting time; and (b) at least one hour before the flight crew member leaves a rest facility.
